Uber is not creating demand disruption for Indian automobile majors, says the San Francisco-based taxi aggregator's chief advisor, David Plouffe in an interview to CNBC-Tv18.
Plouffe says Uber only aims to increase demand and fuel efficiency in India.
He says the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the labour ministry will result in organised employment.
The Indian labour ministry recently laid out its plan to partner with organisations like Indian Staffing Federation (ISF), Uber, Monster and Quikr to exploit the potential of national career service project and enhance career and employment opportunities.
Plouffe says there are no plans yet to take Uber public, adding the goal is to run a good business and invest on expansion, particularly in India and China.
