ED attaches Mallya, UBHL assets; DRT to hear default case today

The assets include his bank balance of Rs 34 crore and a flat in Bangalore and Mumbai each. The UB Towers in Bangalore are also part of the list of assets.

There seems to be no respite in sight for Vijay Mallya. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached Vijay Mallya and UBHL's properties worth Rs 1411 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in the IDBI loan case on Saturday, sources in the ED told CNBC-TV18.The assets include his bank balance of Rs 34 crore and a flat in Bangalore and Mumbai each. The UB Towers in Bangalore are also part of the list of assets.If the government decides to liquidate these assets, the proceeds will be equally devided among lenders and also the service tax department.The Debt Recovery Tribunal will hear Mallya's case today.Watch video for more.
