Citi India appoints Sampath Kumar as audit head

Citigroup India said it has appointed Sampath Kumar as its audit head. In this role, Kumar will be responsible for providing independent assurance to Citigroup's stakeholders as it relates to the control environment in the country. Sampath Kumar has over 22 years of experience in the financial services space and has been with Citi internal audit for the past nine years.

Prior to Citi, he was Director, enterprise risk and assurance services at American Express. Kumar is a certified fraud examiner, anti-money laundering specialist, and a chartered accountant.
