Axis Bank hope Aadhaar based transaction ban to be lifted soon

Axis Bank expects the ban on Aadhaar based transaction to be lifted soon. The bank awaits the investigation report from Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Aadhaar biometric data breach in couple of days.

Axis Bank expects the ban on Aadhaar-based transaction to be lifted soon. The bank is waiting for the investigation report from Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Aadhaar biometric data breach in couple of days. On February 15 UIDAI has issued a police complaint against Axis Bank, e-Mudhra and Suvidha for illegally storing Aadhaar data, which resulted in a data breach.

Axis Bank’s platform was used for e-KYC and e-Mudhra for digital signature. UIDAI has banned all Aadhaar-based transactions on all of these 3 companies. Suvidha has claimed responsibility for the data breach.Watch video for more ...
