In FY11, tea companies faced the brunt of production shortfall after poor weather hit output. However, in the current fiscal, domestic tea output has trended well due to higher prices in the domestic and international market, said the CFO of tea plantation company McLeod Russel.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Kamal Baheti says prices have come off a little due to a ramp up in production in north India.
