In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Himanshu Kapania, managing director of Idea Cellular said that it's too premature to believe that pricing power will return to telecom operators.

In a bid to trim its losses and bring in robust income to the company, Kapadia stated that they will continue to focus on reducing cost per minute as revenue growth would be led by increase in minutes of usage. "Meanwhile, their key concern going ahead will be to maintain overall margins in controversy-hit telecom business," he added.

Talking about his business startegies, he solicited, "Idea Cellular's revenue per minute plan is similar to Bharti Airtel's scheme and utilising assets like monetizing the company-owned 9000 towers is not on the cards in the short-run."

Below is the verbatim transcript of his interview with Udayan Mukherjee of CNBC-TV18. Also watch the accompanying video.
