TVS Motor sells 1.54 lakh units in July, down 5% YoY

TVS Motor's total sales in July slipped 5 percent year-on-year to 1.54 lakh units, the two-wheeler maker said on Thursday. Most two-wheeler makers in India have seen sluggish growth over the last few months and there seems to be no turnaround yet. The company's two-wheeler sales fell 7 percent from a year ago to 1.47 lakh units. Exports, however, were up 36 percent to 26,145 units, last month. At 11:00 hrs, TVS Motor shares were trading down 3.4 percent at Rs 30.10 on NSE. Also Read: Maruti Suzuki July sales rise 1% to 83,299 units
