Infra loans from banks: Too much lending too soon?

In the last 24 months banks have lent 150% more to infrastructure companies than they did earlier. While this is good for the country, is this over exposure to a sector known for execution risks, good for bank balance sheets?

The RBI's data on sectoral distribution table of bank loans reveals that out of Rs 8.5 lakh crore lent by Indian banks in the past 24 months, Rs 2.6 lakh crore or 28% went to infrastructure. India
