In an interview with CNBC-TV18, D Ram Reddy, Balaji Amines, spoke about the latest happenings in his company and sector.

How much this MNP plant is currently working at and what is the ramp up you could possibly expect in the next one year? A: Current capacity of MNP is about 6,000 metric tonne. We are adding a new capacity of 16,000 metric tonne. So, the total capacity comes to 22,000 metric tonne. Maybe in 2012, we may utilise about 16,000 to 17,000 metric tonne. Q: If you do utilise about 16,000 to 17,000 tonne how much will it add in terms of your revenues if you could give us some estimate in FY12? A: It will add around Rs 150-200 crore to the revenue. Q: About this MNP plant, currently what it is operating at in terms of capacity? A: At present, the existing capacity is about 6,000 tonne, utilisation is almost 95%. Q: Post commission, how much of your total revenues will comprise of MNP and what about the remaining business? A: Once we commission this, it may come to around 30% of the total revenue of the MNP. Q: Can we expect about a Rs 600 crore revenue in FY12 for the entire company? A: No. It can go to around Rs 450 to 500 crore. Q: You also launched a new product called Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone (PVK K-30) which is basically used for cosmetics and pharma formulations. Can you just take us through the potential of this product as well? A: This product PVK K-30 is mainly used in all the pharmaceutical products. It is used as a binder.
