Wockhardt's Ankleshwar unit gets import alert from USFDA

Pharma company Wockhardt's Ankleshwar unit recieved an import alert from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) due to the lack of compliance with respect to good manufacturing practices (GMP). The Ankleshwar unit is an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) plant, which was inspected six-eight months ago.This will negatively impact the company's US business and lead to a negative sentiment in the markets on Monday.But importantly, there has not been any alert so far for the crucial Waluj and Chikalthana units, which have previously recieved an establishment inspection reports (EIRs).Watch video for more.
