Infosys has started 2014 with some major changes to its management structure as the tech major seeks to turnaround.
Just days after getting elevated as presidents in Infosys, BG Srinivas and UB Pravin Rao are getting down to business.
They have already started conversation with vertical heads, with horizontal heads, with individual business unit heads to get a sense of how they can turnaround the company. Both of them have been given the complete charge to create a strategy to arrest attrition and ensure a concrete turnaround plan.
One of the plan could be to look at promotions across the board in order to be able to arrest attrition. It is also understood that since the executive council rather has been disbanded altogether they are now looking for members in order to form an individual governance council.
What would this mean?
This means, both the gentlemen would have a governance council reporting to them. The governance council will essentially have an advisory function and will advice these gentlemen on an - as and when basis. For example, BG Srinivas is essentially going to be taking care of devising a growth plan for global markets for Infosys and creating a larger market share in global markets. So, he will have a governance committee with around 10-15 members who will be reporting to him and advising him on this plan.
So, it seems like good news for employees as a whole but the brokerages and investors don’t particularly seem happy by this move.
