Ex-Idea MD, Sanjeev Aga steering merger with Vodafone: Sources

The deal that will translate into India's biggest telecom company, Idea and Vodafone's merger might be backed by old hands as sources tell CNBC-TV18 that former Idea MD Sanjeev Aga is believed to be aiding the merger talks with Vodafone.

Source also say that former Vodafone India chief Martin Pieters is believed to be working on the merger process as well.

Reports also suggest that both the companies are likely to seal the deal later this week and might make the formal announcement on February 24 or 25.Watch video for more.
