2G case: All accused directed to appear before court in Mar

All accused in the Aircel Maxis case have been directed by the special 2G court to appear before the special court on March 2, 2015.

The special court today took cognizance of the chargesheet filed by the central bureau of investigation (CBI).

Malaysian business tycoon T Ananda Krishnan of Maxis is one of the main accused in the case and Dayanidhi Maran and Kalanithi Maran, both who were named in the chargesheet, too have been summoned in the case.

The chargesheet that was filed on August 29 has been filed for offences punishable under section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC and under a few relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
