MCA panel finalises draft Competition Policy

An MCA panel headed by Dhanendra Kumar, the former CCI Chairman has finalised the draft Competition Policy, reports CNBC-TV18 Malavika Jain.

The draft Competition Policy aims at revising government policies and regulations which undermine competition and also assist government departments in formulating new policy by adopting competition principles.
It will be implemented through a national competition policy council. In addition to creating awareness about competition principles, this council will also frame and administer incentive schemes for state governments for aligning their policies and laws with the national competition policy.
