In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 9 out of 11 seats in the state while Congress managed to bag just 2.

The elections for 28 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka will be held in two phases, with South Karnataka voting on April 26 and North Karnataka on May 7. The results will be announced on June 4.

Voting for the upcoming general election will take place in three phases from April 19 to May 7 in Chhattisgarh.

In 2019, elections took place in all 11 seats in Chhattisgarh over three phases from April 11 to April 23.

Voting is taking place in Chhattisgarh just months after the BJP wrested power from Congress in a fierce electoral contest.

The recent assembly election victory has boosted BJP’s prospects in the Hindi heartland state, which has witnessed saffron domination in both 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
