The Budget meeting exercise will not get impacted by BJP's disappointing show in Delhi election because the government is under great pressure to revive consumption demand, analyses veteran journalist AK Bhattacharya of Business Standard.

In Delhi state elections Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Admi Party (AAP) emerged victorious by wiping out both BJP and the Congress and many think the ruling party at the Centre will take support of Budget barely two week away to show they are people friendly. However, not much has changed on the ground with manufacturing, auto sales and corporate sector earnings, also known as high frequency indicators of economic growth, showing almost no pick-up.
