Ravi Narayanana, the group executive of Retail Liabilities, Branch Banking, and Products at Axis Bank, has resigned on March 13 and will be relieved on March 22, as per an exchange filing by the company on March 14.
"My stint with Axis Bank has been an extremely rewarding one. Over the last 5 years, I have had the opportunity to be your partner in scaling up the Retail Liabilities franchise and worked alongside many wonderful and passionate team members and colleagues," Narayanan said in a resignation mail.
He further stated in his resignation letter that he wishes to pursue an entrepreneurial journey, "leveraging on my 30+ years of corporate experience".
Previously, Narayanan was with HDFC Bank as Head of Branch Banking (West) and Retail Trade and Forex. In the earlier roles at HDFC Bank, he led Merchant Acquiring, Cash Management Services, Current Account Product Business, among more.
The bank has appointed Vijay Mulbagal as Group Executive & Head of Strategic Programs and Sustainability of the Bank with effect from March 14, 2024, the exchange filing said.
Mulbagal will work alongside the leadership team in shaping the agenda on key strategic initiatives for the Bank, which require long-term strategic foresight and near term thrust on execution, the release added.
Prior to this, Mulabagal was with HDFC Bank, where he was the Group Head – Large Corporates - Supply Chain Finance, and had led the renewed approach for Supply Chain Finance at HDFC Bank via reimagined focus on Digital Stack, Products, Processes & Fintech Partnerships.
Axis Bank in a release further said he is a senior management personnel under the provisions of extant applicable laws.
