After San Francisco, 'Yes Bengaluru' to support startups tackling urban challenges

 Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge unveiled the second chapter, YES Bengaluru, following 'YES San Francisco' - a global initiative to reimagine cities as inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.

Following the success of Yes San Francisco- a global initiative by Deloitte and World Economic Forum- to reimagine cities as more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable- the second chapter, Yes Bengaluru, has now been launched.

Karnataka IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge said, "Over the next three years, Yes Bengaluru will support our innovators working on real urban challenges in areas like urban mobility, green energy, water conservation, and waste management. Yes SF and Yes BLR will also collaborate to provide selected startups with soft landing and market access opportunities across borders."

He said, "Bengaluru is already a global innovation hub, and with this initiative, we’re backing bold ideas that can reimagine how our cities live, move, and breathe."

Sharath Bachegowda, chairman of Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KEONICS), said, "After Yes San Francisco, Yes Bengaluru will work with startups to develop solutions that address infrastructure and mobility issues. The programme will begin operations from September."
