Adani Enterprises and Google announced a landmark joint venture on Tuesday. As per the company statement, Adani's joint venture AdaniConneX will help develop India's largest AI data centre campus along with new green energy infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam

The Google AI hub in Visakhapatnam represents a multi-faceted investment of around USD 15 billion over five years (2026-2030). The project will feature gigawatt-scale data centre operations, supported by a robust subsea cable network and clean energy solutions, aimed at powering the most demanding AI workloads in India. The initiative will be implemented in close collaboration with ecosystem partners, including AdaniConneX and Airtel.

Key pillars of the project include purpose-built AI data centre infrastructure in Visakhapatnam, which will significantly boost compute capacity and help drive a generational leap in India's AI capabilities.

The partnership also emphasises sustainability, with co-investment in new transmission lines, clean energy generation, and innovative energy storage systems in Andhra Pradesh. These initiatives will support the data centre's operations while enhancing the resilience and capacity of India's electricity grid.
