The initial trends show results are tilting towards the Congress in Telangana as counting of votes begin on December 3. Looking at the early trends, Congress leader N Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is now seen as the CM probable in case the Grand Old Party unseats the BRS, says that any decision taken by the high command is acceptable to him.
"Any decision taken is fine by me, let the high command (Congress party) and all the MLAs decide post the results," Reddy told News18.

The Congress was leading in 65 out of the 119 seats in Telangana in the early phase of counting, while the incumbent BRS was leading in 39 seats. The simple majority mark to form the government in the southern state is 60 seats.
K Chandrasekhar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) has been in power since 2014, when Telangana was granted statehood and won the 2018 elections as well and hopes to clinch a hat-trick.
Reddy said that the Congress learnt and corrected itself from the past losses. "The Gandhi family has a special place in the hearts of the Telangana people. This time we learnt and corrected ourselves."
The Congress had mounted a spirited election campaign with a view to unseat the near decade-old incumbent, even as the BJP also launched a no-holds-barred attack against the ruling dispensation.
The outcome of the Assembly elections in the four crucial states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana will reflect into the possible political variations that will be seen in the Lok Sabha elections next year. Polling to the 119-member Telangana Assembly concluded on November 30 and it was the last among five states that went to polls last month.
According to the Election Commission (EC), Telangana recorded a 70.28 percent voter turnout in the November 30 polls. Voters exercised their franchise in 35,655 polling stations that were set up across the state.
