SSC Stenographer Group C and D Recruitment Notification 2025 to be out on June 5, exams in August

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release the notification for the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Recruitment 2025 on 5 June, 2025. Interested candidates can apply for the posts online through the official SSC website at www.ssc.gov.in between 5 June and 26 June 2025.

The SSC Stenographer exam is held every year to recruit candidates for the Group C and Group D stenographer posts in various central government departments. The selection process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and a Skill Test.

Number of Vacancies

The exact number of vacancies will be shared in the official notification. However, around 2006 vacancies are expected this year. Last year, SSC filled 2,000 vacancies through this recruitment process.

The application fee details are as follows:

• General and OBC candidates: Rs 100


• SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen and female candidates: No fee

Candidates can follow the steps below to apply for the SSC Stenographer 2025 Exam:

1. Visit the SSC official website: www.ssc.gov.in


2. Click on the SSC Stenographer 2025 link


3. Register as a new user by providing your basic details such as name, parents’ names, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID


4. Submit the registration form and note the Registration ID


5. Log in using the Registration ID, date of birth, and password to continue


6. Upload your photograph and signature as per the guidelines


7. Complete Part II of the application form


8. Preview your filled form carefully before submission


9. Click on the Final Submit button


10. Pay the application fee (if applicable)


11. Download and print a copy of your submitted application form for future reference
