BSSC Office Attendant Recruitment: Application begins for 3,727 vacancies; link to apply here

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has started the application process for the Office Attendant Recruitment 2025. A total of 3,727 vacancies have been announced, of which 1,216 are reserved for women candidates. This recruitment offers opportunities for candidates who have passed Class 10 and are seeking government jobs in Bihar.

Application dates and fee

The online registration process began on 25 August 2025 and will continue till 26 September 2025. The last date to pay the application fee is 24 September 2025.

The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 540, while SC, ST, women, and Divyang candidates need to pay Rs 135. Applications can be submitted only through the official BSSC website.

Eligibility criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognised board.


• Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 37 years for the general category. Age relaxations will apply for candidates from reserved categories as per Bihar government rules.


• Reservation: Out of the total vacancies, 1,216 are reserved for women. Further distribution is based on caste and community.

The written exam will consist of 100 questions and carry 100 marks. The duration of the test will be 2 hours. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The subject wise distribution is as follows:

• General Knowledge: 40 questions


• General Mathematics: 30 questions


• General Hindi: 30 questions

2. On the homepage, click on the “Bihar Office Attendant Apply Online” link.


3. New users must register by entering basic details like name, email ID, and mobile number. A registration ID and password will be generated.


4. Login using the credentials and fill in the application form.


5. Upload scanned copies of a passport-size photograph, signature, and required documents such as educational certificates, caste certificate, and domicile proof.


6. Pay the application fee through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.


7. Review all the details, submit the form, and download the confirmation page. Keep a printout of the application form and fee receipt for future reference.
