Magnesium is one of the body’s most important minerals, involved in over 300 biochemical reactions. It promotes muscle and nerve function, maintains blood pressure, supports bone health and encourages cellular healing. And yet many of us unknowingly run low on magnesium, thanks to a poor diet, chronic stress and some medical conditions.

According to Chennai-based Dr Riya Menon, MD (Nutrition & Metabolic Health), magnesium deficiency is "one of the most under-recognised sources of fatigue, skin sluggishness and premature aging". She warns that even small clues in the face could serve as early-warning signals, prompting people to do something about deficiencies before they compromise health further.
