Disney is officially bringing back the world of Zootopia, and this time the cast list is even bigger. Walt Disney Animation Studios announced that Zootopia 2 will premiere in cinemas on November 26, with new names Andy Samberg, Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song joining the fold.
The sequel will see Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde back in action, once again voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman. Their latest mission is an undercover investigation tied to the arrival of Gary De’Snake, played by Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.
The Lynxley family arrives in Zootopia
One of the biggest additions is the Lynxley family, a powerful clan central to the city’s survival. Andy steps in as Pawbert Lynxley, David Strathairn voices Milton Lynxley, Macaulay plays Cattrick Lynxley, and Brenda brings Kitty Lynxley to life.
The Lynxleys are credited with building the weather walls that keep Zootopia’s districts running—making them a key part of the story this time.
Familiar favorites return
Alongside the newcomers, fans can expect to hear Idris Elba back as Chief Bogo, Nate Torrence as Clawhauser, and Shakira reprising her role as Gazelle. Fortune Feimster, Quinta Brunson, and Patrick Warburton also join the mix, giving the ensemble a fresh boost.
The legacy of Zootopia
Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with Bush also penning the screenplay, the sequel aims to dive deeper into themes of trust and community. Composer Michael Giacchino returns to score the film, while Yvett Merino produces.

The original Zootopia, released in 2016, was a global phenomenon, raking in over $1 billion worldwide and winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. It later spawned Disney+ shorts and a themed land in Shanghai Disneyland.
For fans eager to revisit the animal metropolis, there’s more good news—Disney’s Animal Kingdom will open a 3D Zootopia attraction on November 7, just weeks before the sequel’s release.
With Judy and Nick back on the case, and the Lynxleys stepping into the spotlight, Zootopia 2 is shaping up to be one of Disney’s biggest releases of the year.
