One of Indian cinema's most ambitious mythological productions is the eagerly awaited Ramayana, which stars Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor.
Part 1 of the two-part film, which is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is scheduled to release on Diwali 2026.
According to recent reports, Kannada superstar Yash, who portrays the mighty Ravana, will only appear on screen for a brief period in the first film.
According to reports, Yash only spends fifteen minutes on screens.
TellyChakkar reports that Yash will only make a brief appearance in Ramayana: Part 1—roughly 15 minutes.
This artistic decision is said to have resulted from the filmmakers' desire to maintain the story's emphasis on Lord Rama's journey, particularly his exile from Ayodhya and the occasions leading up to his confrontation with Ravana.
It is anticipated that Yash's brief appearance will provide an interesting prelude to Part 2, which will probably concentrate more on the epic conflict between Rama and Ravana.
But as of yet, the creators have not formally confirmed this.

A Look Inside the Mythical Universe
The film's introductory video, which was just released, gives viewers an idea of its breathtaking scenery, grandiose scope, and moving Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman score.
Sai Pallavi will play Sita, and Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Rama. Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana are also part of the ensemble cast.
The second instalment, which is scheduled for release on Diwali 2027, is anticipated to feature Yash's Ravana.
A Mythological Extravaganza Across India
Ramayana is being presented as a pan-India spectacle because of its renowned plot and excellent production values. The project intends to reinvent the mythological genre in Indian cinema through authentic storytelling and painstaking visual effects.
Yash's Next Project: Toxic
Although some fans may be disappointed by Yash's sparse appearance in Ramayana: Part 1, the KGF star has another huge release planned. He will play the lead role in Geetu Mohandas's period action-drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
With a stellar ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Sudev Nair, and others, the movie is set against the backdrop of a Goan mafia cartel. On March 19, 2026, Toxic will be released in theaters.
Even though Yash's mythological persona makes an enigmatic and brief debut, both Ramayana and Toxic promise to maintain Yash's prominence as the suspense grows.
