Prithviraj was once questioned about the criticism he faced for naming his daughter Alankrita Menon Sukumaran during Salaar's promotions. The use of "Menon," which is also his wife Supriya's last name and has historically been associated with caste hierarchies in Kerala, was the source of the criticism.
The actor replied, "I would like my child to have her mother's name, even before mine," with cool dignity. Therefore, to reiterate once more, "Menon" is just a name to me and has no bearing whatsoever on caste, religion, or beliefs.

Alankrita, their daughter, attends the esteemed Dhirubhai Ambani International School.
