But during a recent interaction, former badminton champion Saina Nehwal unintentionally offered fans a warm little glimpse into the Kohli household.

In an interview with Filmygyan, she revealed that Virat mentioned something every sports fan instantly latched on to — his son Akaay may already enjoy playing cricket.

Saina was describing how these meetings between athletes are rare because everyone is constantly traveling.

When they do happen, the conversations drift naturally from tournaments to family life.

While speaking about this, she shared a small but heartwarming detail from her exchange with Kohli. As she put it in simple English, “He was saying that maybe his boy likes to play. You don’t meet every day, so when you meet once in a while at tournaments, you talk about how things are going, your career, and then about kids. So he said maybe his son (Akaay) likes playing cricket.”
