Veteran actor Jeetendra recently attended a special screening of the film “The Sabarmati Report” alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi, making headlines with his heartfelt comments on the occasion. The screening, held at the Bal Yogi Auditorium in the Parliament Complex Library, brought together NDA Members of Parliament (MPs), the film’s team, and prominent dignitaries. The film, directed by Dheeraj Sarna, delves into the tragic events surrounding the burning of the Sabarmati Express coach near Godhra station in 2002.

Jeetendra expressed his excitement after the screening, saying, “I told PM Modi that I have spent 50 years in the film industry, and for the first time, because of my daughter, I have watched a movie with the PM.” This unique moment held significant personal value for the veteran actor, who was accompanied by his daughter and producer of the film, Ektaa R. Kapoor. Jeetendra added, “PM Modi told me that I am also watching the first film after becoming the Prime Minister,” highlighting the rarity of such an event for the Prime Minister as well.

The film’s screening drew admiration not only from Jeetendra but also from PM Modi, who took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to praise the filmmakers’ effort. “Joined fellow NDA MPs at a screening of ‘The Sabarmati Report.’ I commend the makers of the film for their effort,” the Prime Minister shared, along with photos from the event. Earlier, PM Modi also commented on the trailer of the film, emphasizing the importance of presenting the truth. “It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out,” he stated.
