Tollywood’s Parambrata Chattopadhyay and wife Piya Chakraborty welcome baby boy on Jamaishasthi

Tollywood actor and filmmaker Parambrata Chattopadhyay and his wife, social activist Piya Chakraborty, have become proud parents to a baby boy. The joyous news arrived on Jamaishasthi, marking an extra-special occasion for the family, Telegraph confirmed.

The child was born at a private hospital in Kolkata, and as per sources close to the couple, both mother and newborn are doing well.

The couple first revealed they were expecting in February 2025 through a tender and thoughtfully curated social media post. The announcement featured a sequence of heartwarming photographs, beginning with an affectionate hug between Parambrata and Piya.

The carousel also included their beloved pets — Nina the dog and Bagha the cat — providing a glimpse into their cosy domestic life. The final image, a bouquet of flowers, was captioned “Baby on the way,” sparking an outpouring of love and well-wishes from fans and peers alike.

Piya had poignantly written alongside the images, “The first picture is ours, number 2 is the eldest child Nina, and number 3 is Bagha’s.” She added, “Our love is growing. The little one is coming very soon.”
