The Great Indian Kapil Show launched its much-awaited second season with a star-studded episode featuring Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, Karan Johar, and Vasan Bala. The guests were there to promote their upcoming film, Jigra.
Karan Johar stole the show with his stories about fatherhood. He spoke extensively about raising his twins, Yash and Roohi, revealing that he interacts with 60 mothers of his children’s classmates through two different WhatsApp groups. Karan shared how becoming a father has profoundly changed him, making him more thoughtful about his kids' future and the path he wants to build for them.
In a light-hearted segment, Karan discussed his role as a storyteller for Yash and Roohi who deeply love animals. He humorously recounted how he spins outrageous tales to entertain them, highlighting his playful side as a parent. Karan also mentioned that his children are often puzzled by his profession. Despite seeing him on television and during costume trials at home, they remain unclear about what a director actually does.
Alia Bhatt also shared stories about her daughter Raha and husband Ranbir Kapoor. Alia’s anecdotes provided a glimpse into their lives as parents and left the audience eager for more.
In the promo that was released earlier, Kapil was seen humorously asking Karan Johar what he sees in Alia - a friend, a daughter, or a phoopi (aunt)? Karan affectionately replies, "For me, she is my first daughter," followed by a kiss on Alia’s forehead.
The episode also featured a suspenseful and funny interaction where Kapil Sharma teased Alia about a girl from Ranbir's past, leading to a mock-serious exchange with Dasfli aka Sunil Grover that left the audience in splits.
