Sonu Sood recently shed light on some peculiar practices in the entertainment industry, addressing how certain actors create unnecessary drama to grab attention. In conversation with Jist, the actor, known for his diverse roles in films like Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi and Arundhati, teased his colleagues, stating that some are more convincing off-camera than on-screen.

Sonu revealed that a few actors instruct their bodyguards to orchestrate dramatic scenes to draw public attention, calling it a sign of insecurity. "They are insecure that people will fail to notice them," he said, emphasising that acting should end when the camera stops rolling.

Citing an example from a recent event in Kolkata, Sonu shared how he enjoys mingling with the public without the need for heavy security. Despite his bodyguards’ concerns, he preferred to travel using public transport and visit local spots. “People appreciate genuine connections,” he said.

The actor also recounted a conversation with a bodyguard at an airport who admitted to being instructed to create a commotion. According to Sonu, such tactics are used by actors to appear in demand. He humorously shared an incident from his gym where an actor’s bodyguard pretended there was a crowd, even though no one was around. “It was all just acting off-camera,” Sonu quipped.
