Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha welcomed Ganapati Bappa at her house on August 27 and has recently shared a glimpse of her festivities. The actress celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with her husband, Zaheer Iqbal.
Sonakshi took to her Instagram and shared a video of the celebration. In the video, the actress was seen performing aarti with her husband, Zaheer. She penned a Mantra in her caption, “Om Gam Ganpataye Namah.”
She wished her followers a happy Ganesh Chaturthi and continued, “Aap sabko Ganesh Chathurthi ki shubhkaamnaye… Bappa hum sabko shanti, prem aur dhairya pradaan kare (Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to all of you… May Bappa give us all peace, love and patience).” The video was set to the song, Sukh Karta Dukh Harta.
Sonakshi looked stunning in the video as she sported a traditional look for the festivity. She opted for a printed white salwar and suit for the occasion. Zaheer coordinated the actress in traditional attire and looked equally dapper in a printed green short kurta paired with white pants.
Sonakshi’s latest post came after she was spotted at the Ganapati Visarjan ceremony with Salman Khan, his sister Arpita and Aayush Sharma. Salman also danced with his nephew Ahil and Sonakshi during the visarjan ceremony.

For the unversed, Sonakshi and Zaheer started dating in 2017 and kept their relationship a secret and out of the public eye for a long time. The couple tied the knot in a close-knit ceremony on June 23, 2024. They had a civil ceremony at the bride's Bandra apartment with popular stars from Bollywood, including Rekha, Salman Khan and others in attendance.
On the work front, Sonakshi was last seen in Nikita Roy, which hit the theatres on July 18. The film also stars Suhail Nayyar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and others in the pivotal roles. Directed by Sonakshi’s brother Kussh Sinha, the film follows a sceptical author-investigator who debunks supernatural claims and faces a case that challenges her rational beliefs and scientific worldview.
