Farah Khan posted a playful video that began by focusing on a floral decoration which read ‘50’ as the veteran actor completed 50 years in cinema this month. Panning towards Shabana Azmi, Farah humorously remarked, "We are at the 50th birthday of living legend, none other than Shabana Azmi. 50th birthday, really?" Urmila Matondkar quickly chimed in, “50th? This is your 50th?” Vidya Balan, joining the fun, added, “No, no. 40th, right?” The trio then warmly embraced Shabana, laughing and wishing her on her special day. Sharing the lighthearted moment, Farah captioned the video: “Here with 2 of the best dancers in Bollywood!! @azmishabana18 and @balanvidya … oh, and there’s also @urmilamatondkarofficial (winking emoji). Happy birthday, Shabana! (red heart emoji).”

Urmila Matondkar also dedicated a heartfelt post to Shabana Azmi, sharing a series of nostalgic photos featuring the two of them together. In a deeply emotional note, Urmila wrote, “The 'Maa' that cinema gave me… and as cheesy as it may sound, I can always say to anyone, 'Mere paas Maa hai (I have a mother)'. Happy Birthday dearest Shabanaji. It has been an absolute pleasure and an incredible privilege to see you, work with you, and learn from you. The learning continues.” She added, “Words fall short to describe the bond we’ve shared, one that we’ve carefully nurtured for almost four decades. May you continue to illuminate our paths and guide us toward love, life, and greater heights.”
