Actor Sai Pallavi recently paid a heartfelt tribute to Major Mukund Varadarajan by visiting the National War Memorial in New Delhi. The visit was part of her efforts to honour the brave soldier’s legacy ahead of the promotions for her upcoming film, Amaran, which revolves around the life of Major Varadarajan.

Major Varadarajan, laid down his life during an encounter in Kashmir in 2014.

Major Mukund Varadarajan, an officer in the Indian Army, was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India’s highest peacetime military decoration, for his bravery and sacrifice. His courage and dedication have inspired many, and Amaran seeks to bring his story to the forefront, allowing audiences to understand the life and valor of a soldier committed to protecting his nation.

By choosing to visit the National War Memorial, Sai Pallavi showcased her dedication to authentically portraying the role and paid her respects to the soldiers who have laid down their lives for the country.
