Kantara: Chapter 1 came out in theaters on October 2 and was a huge hit. Kannada actor Rishab Shetty is celebrating a big milestone in his career. The actor-director wrote a touching post on X, talking about how he grew up poor and the problems he faced as a child.

First 7 PM show
Along with the message, he provided a throwback update from 2016 in which he wrote about how excited he was to finally have a 7 PM show in Mangalore for his first movie, Ricky. The then-newcomer talked about how far he has come in less than ten years by saying that it takes a lot of work from a lot of people to make it happen.
Chapter One: Kantara's Success Story
Kantara: Chapter 1, one of the most talked-about movies of the year, did quite well at the box office, making an amazing Rs 60 crore nett on its first day. The prequel has gotten good reviews from both fans and those in the industry, including famous actors Yash, Upendra, Prabhas, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It has also set new standards for Kannada film.
Rishab Shetty's Rise
Rishab Shetty was born in the small village of Keradi in the Udupi district of Kundapura, Kerala. Before he became a movie star, he worked as a real estate agent and a clerk to pay the bills as he pursued his love of acting. He went to the Abhinaya Taranga film school in Bangalore after getting his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree. There, he learned how to act and perform in plays.
The Beginnings
Rishab began his acting career in 2012 with Tuglak. Since then, he has starred in well-reviewed movies like Lucia and Ulidavaru Kandanthe. He directed Ricky in 2016 and then went on to direct the cult hit Kirik Party. In 2022, he got his big break when he wrote, directed, and starred in Kantara. He also won a National Award for Best Actor for it.
Recognition and Awards
Over the years, Shetty has won many Karnataka State and National Film Awards, including Best Children's Film for Koduge: Ramanna Rai and Sarikari Hi. Pra. Shaale Kasaragodu. When he won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award at the 70th National Film Awards, Kantara became one of the most influential storytellers in modern Indian film.
