Actor Rashmika Mandanna has recently received praise from her rumoured fiancé, Vijay Deverakonda, for her performance in the recently released The Girlfriend. However, Rashmika has expressed gratitude for the kind words.
Rashmika took to her X (formerly Twitter) handle and responded to the heartwarming response to Vijay Deverakonda's compliment. She tweeted, “It is something powerful. It is something important. It is going to be hard to digest - So well put! Thankyou. It's a SLOW BURN that LASTS LONG.”
Rashmika expressed her hope that Vijay Deverakonda would be pleased with her work, revealing that he has been involved with her film from the start.
Vijay praised Rashmika Mandanna and the rest of the team earlier on Thursday when she shared the ‘The Girlfriend’ trailer.
He wrote, “I know they have made something powerful. Something important. Something that will be hard to digest. I know the performances by all actors are top class and what @23_rahulr has created with @iamRashmika and @Dheekshiths and @ItsAnuEmmanuel is going to create an impact. Tomorrow we will all see this happen with #TheGirlfriend, go experience it in the theaters and think. Lots of love and big hugs to the entire cast and crew.”
The subtle yet detailed display of mutual admiration coincides with reports that Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are engaged.
According to the sources, Rashmika and Vijay were engaged in a private ceremony that was witnessed by both families. Vijay and Rashmika have not, however, provided any formal confirmation. Neither of them has released any photos from the event.

The engagement ceremony was held at Vijay Deverakonda's Hyderabad home on October 3, according to sources. The reports have suggested that they will get married in February 2026.
On the work front, The Girlfriend, starring Rashmika Mandanna and Dheekshith Shetty, debuted in theatres on November 7.
The Telugu film, which was written and directed by Rahul Ravindran, centres on the complicated story of a couple. Dheekshith's character becomes erratic, displaying his red flag behaviour in a relationship, while his girlfriend wants to take a "small break" from the partnership. Rashmika will play the lead in Cocktail 2 as well.
