The Star of Power Pawan Kalyan's new action movie, They Call Him OG, is already shattering records even though it hasn't even come out in theaters yet. The movie got a major digital streaming contract with Netflix for Rs 92 crore, which is the biggest OTT deal the actor has ever made. The rights span key Indian languages like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, showing how popular the movie is across the country.
A Big Win Before the Book Came Out
The creators have already made back a lot of their money from the OTT deal, which cost them roughly Rs 250 crore to make. Star Maa's purchase of the satellite rights and the movie's excellent worldwide advance sales make OG look like a financial behemoth already. In the US market, where the movie has been breaking records before its debuts, trade circles say that advance sales are through the roof.
Strong Cast and Crew
Pawan Kalyan plays the interesting role of Ojas "OG" Gambheera in They Call Him OG, which was directed by Sujeeth and paid for by DVV Entertainment. Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy all have key parts in the movie. Emraan Hashmi plays the bad guy Omi Bhau, who is very dangerous. Thaman S's music is likely to make the movie's tough scenes even better with its blockbuster tunes.
Industry experts say that OG might do better than Pawan Kalyan's previous openers and potentially compete with some of the best South Indian blockbusters of all time.
