After a lot of talk and viral shares on social media, the truth is out and the record is set straight. After the news of Deepika Padukone not being part of Kalli 2898 AD's sequel, there has been a rumour on social media about her name being removed from the credits. But on the contrary, and to the truth, her name has always been and still is in the official credits for Kalki 2898 AD.

Fans online started to get upset after Vyjayanthi Films said on September 18 that Deepika Padukone would not be in Kalki 2.

This is when the confusion started. In the days that followed, several fan accounts began spreading 'doctored screenshots and manipulated' videos stating that the actress's name had been "removed" from the credits of Kalki 2898 AD on streaming services.

The claim circulated swiftly, and no one checked it out. But a quick check on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix India shows that Deepika Padukone's name is still in the credits for all language versions of the movie.
