Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna are set to bring their upcoming period drama Chhaava to the big screen on February 14, 2025. As the duo actively promotes the film, Rashmika gave fans a glimpse into their journey by sharing a series of photos from a "mini-photoshoot" featuring herself, co-star Vicky Kaushal, and director Laxman Utekar.
Taking to Instagram, the Pushpa 2 actress shared several pictures with Vicky and Laxman along with the caption, "Laxman sir is so busy with all the editing and all of the serious film work and so Vicky and I thought we’ll kidnap him and do off a mini photoshoot.. and after that we ended up doing our lil shoot to tell you guys that- ‘Chhaava is coming out in 3 days and we are so so excitedddd!’
In the first photo, Rashmika, Vicky, and Laxman Utekar share a lighthearted moment, with Utekar placing his hands on Rashmika and Vicky’s shoulders as they all smile warmly. The remaining pictures capture Rashmika and Vicky’s playful chemistry, as they strike goofy poses and showcase their effortless camaraderie behind the scenes. Their infectious energy and comfort with each other highlight the fun atmosphere on set.
In one of the pictures, Rashmika playfully holds up three fingers, hinting that the film’s release is just three days away. Rashmika exuded elegance in a mustard-yellow salwar suit, radiating grace and charm. Meanwhile, Vicky looked effortlessly stylish in a monochrome ensemble, pairing an off-white shirt with matching pants and completing the look with a sleek black blazer.

At the trailer launch of the film on January 22 in Mumbai, Rashmika Mandanna expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to portray Maharani Yesubai. She described the role as an incredible honour, calling it the most special and privileged experience of her career. Coming from the South, she felt deeply humbled to step into such a significant historical character. Jokingly, she shared with director Laxman Utekar that after this role, she would be content to retire Reflecting on the casting decision, she recalled her initial disbelief, wondering how Utekar had even envisioned her in such a powerful role.
Helmed by director Laxman Utekar and backed by producer Dinesh Vijan, the movie explores the bravery and enduring legacy of the Maratha empire. Vicky Kaushal steps into the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, while Rashmika brings Maharani Yesubai to life on screen.
