Global star Ram Charan recently traveled to Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, accompanied by director Buchi Babu Sana. During his visit, he offered prayers at both a temple and a dargah on the same day.
On Monday evening, Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana, who are collaborating on a film with Bollywood actress Jhanvi Kapoor, visited the Sri Vijaya Durga Devi Temple and the Ameen Peer Dargah. The large crowd gathered to see them led to police intervention, with officers resorting to lathi charges to manage the situation.
Ram Charan flew from Hyderabad to Kadapa to attend the 80th Mushaira Ghazal event. The actor honored a longstanding request from music composer AR Rahman to visit the dargah. Accompanied by director Buchi, he visited the Sri Vijaya Durga Devi Temple, performed a pooja, and placed the film's script at the Goddess' feet. Later, at the Ameen Peer Dargah, Ram offered a floral chaddar as a mark of respect.
Fans, aware of Ram Charan's visit, flocked to see him as soon as he landed in Kadapa. They greeted him with a massive garland and showered him with flower petals while he waved back through the car's sunroof. However, as the crowd grew overwhelming, videos captured police resorting to lathi charges to manage the fans trying to catch a glimpse of the star, clearing the way for his car to pass through.
Ram was last seen in the 2022 films RRR and Acharya. RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, saw Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt as his co-stars. He also had a cameo in Salman Khan’s 2023 film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' in the song, Yentamma.
He wrapped up shooting for Shankar’s maiden Telugu film, Game Changer, with Kiara Advani as his co-star. The film will be released in theatres on January 10 next year for Sankranthi.
