After nearly a decade of anticipation, Rakesh Roshan has shared key updates about the much-awaited superhero sequel, Krrish 4. In a recent interview with Movie Talkies, Roshan confirmed that the project is very much on track, stating, "Krrish 4 will happen soon, for sure."
Rakesh Roshan revealed that the high budget required for the film's ambitious scale was the primary reason for its prolonged delay. "The film demands a large scale and a significant budget. If we try to cut costs, the storyline will suffer," he explained. Determined not to compromise on the film’s quality and scale, the team has been working on getting the budget and logistics in place.
The Krrish franchise, which began with the 2003 blockbuster Koi... Mil Gaya and was followed by Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013), has consistently pushed the boundaries of Indian superhero films. With a decade-long gap since the last installment, fans are eagerly awaiting Hrithik Roshan's return as the caped crusader.
One of the biggest rumours surrounding Krrish 4 is the possible return of Jaadoo, the iconic blue alien from Koi... Mil Gaya. However, Rakesh Roshan chose to remain tight-lipped about the character’s inclusion. "*No, no, I am not going to reveal anything. Our script is ready, and I am very happy with it, but don’t believe any rumours," he said, neither confirming nor denying Jaadoo’s comeback.
Hrithik Roshan is currently busy with WAR 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, where he stars alongside Jr NTR. The final schedule for WAR 2 is reportedly set for April 2025. Following its completion, Hrithik is expected to begin work on Krrish 4. Reports suggest that he will reunite with director Karan Malhotra, who previously collaborated with him on the 2012 hit Agneepath.
While details about the plot and characters remain under wraps, Rakesh Roshan’s assurance that the script is complete has only added to the anticipation.
