Rajinikanth in hospital: PM Modi enquires about health update from Actor’s wife Latha

Superstar Rajinikanth recently underwent an elective procedure at a private hospital in Chennai on October 1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to the actor’s wife, Latha Rajinikanth, over a phone call to enquire about his health. Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai shared this update on social media.

Rajinikanth underwent a non-surgical procedure to place a stent in the aorta to treat swelling in a blood vessel near his heart. The actor is stable and recovering well.

According to the medical team, he is expected to be discharged in a day or two. Annamalai shared a photo of PM Modi and Rajinikanth on his X (formerly Twitter) account, stating that the Prime Minister had expressed his well wishes for the actor's speedy recovery.

Annamalai's post read, "Our Hon. PM Thiru @narendramodi avl spoke telephonically to Smt. Latha Rajinikanth avl today to inquire about the health of our Super Star Thiru @rajinikanth avl. Hon PM was informed about the well-being of Thiru Rajinikanth avl post-surgery & Hon PM wished him a speedy recovery."

In addition to the Prime Minister, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and Rajinikanth’s close friend Kamal Haasan also extended their best wishes for his recovery. Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief, Vijay, shared a message in Tamil, praying for Rajinikanth’s speedy return to good health.
