Hrithik Roshan is ready to make his entry down south with a bang in a big project with Hombale Films, the house that created blockbusters like Salaar and KGF. The announcement of the project, tentatively called #HrithikxHombale, indeed left fans in a frenzy.
Though the details have been kept under wraps, a new rumour is doing rounds on the internet, which claims that actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran might be helming the magnum opus film.

While nothing is official, the industry is abuzz with the news and reports from BFilmy Official suggest that the Lucifer and L2: Empuraan director may be in charge of the ambitious project. If true, this would represent a colossal crossover between North and South and one of the largest pan-Indian collaborations in recent history.
Prithviraj, who is known for his brilliant technical abilities and mass appeal, has just completed working with L2: Empuraan, the sequel to the highly anticipated Lucifer film featuring Mohanlal. As a consequence, he is today one of the most wanted directors in the Indian film industry.
The day of the big announcement. Though the makers are tight-lipped about major information, the official announcement by Hombale Films hinted at a larger-than-life visual experience.

The cryptic yet intriguing announcement suggests the movie will be an adrenaline-fueled, high-concept movie which may be a turning point in Hrithik’s illustrious career.

L2: Empuraan -Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial vision received accolades for its grandeur and storytelling. The second part narrated the political crime saga of Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Ab’raam, portrayed by Mohanlal and also had a star ensemble cast in Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Abhimanyu Singh, Indrajith Sukumaran, and even international actors such as Rick Yune and Jerome Flynn.
Not just directing, Prithviraj has a host of acting projects in his kitty – the actor will also feature in Vilayath Buddha, the international film Nobody, and he also plays a significant role in SS Rajamouli’s next, which is being referred to as SSMB29, with Mahesh Babu in the lead.

Even as HrithikxHombale is gaining momentum, the superstar is preparing for War 2, helmed by Ayan Mukerji and featuring Jr NTR. War 2 will hit theatres on August 14, 2025.
