Papon told us, “I believe that no matter how advanced AI becomes, it can never replace the raw, earthy essence of traditional music—its soul remains inherently human. While auto-tune and algorithmic compositions can enhance production quality, they risk sidelining the emotional imperfection that gives music its heart. My hope is that technology serves to augment, not override, the artist’s genuine expression.”

The singer, who is from Assam, also talked about how regional folk and classical music inspired him to pursue a music career.
