Netflix has released the grand finale of its animated retelling of the Mahabharata with Kurukshetra Part 2: The Great War of Mahabharata, now streaming from October 24, 2025. The series brings to life the climactic days of the Kurukshetra war between the Pandavas and Kauravas through striking animation and deep moral storytelling.

The first part of the series, which premiered on October 10, covered the initial nine days of the 18-day war and ended with the death of Jayadratha. Kurukshetra Part 2 continues the saga, exploring the final and bloodiest nine days. It captures the intensity, strategy, and emotional turmoil of the battlefield, where righteousness, revenge, and destiny collide.

The war that began with questions of dharma (righteousness) now races toward its fateful reckoning. Alliances fracture, destinies converge, and moral boundaries blur as each warrior faces the full weight of their choices. The final part brings the story to its powerful culmination, highlighting the cost of victory and the tragedy of brotherhood destroyed by pride.

The trailer offers glimpses of Arjuna’s moral struggle, Karna’s loyalty, and Duryodhana’s defiance. As the dharmayudh (war of righteousness) reaches its conclusion, the voiceover declares: “Dharm ke iss yuddh mein kuch balidaan toh dena padega” (In this war for righteousness, some sacrifices must be made). The visuals promise epic confrontations and emotional depth, staying true to the spirit of the Mahabharata while appealing to modern sensibilities.
