Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar broke down in tears and apologized to her fans for arriving late for her concert in Melbourne. The noted singer arrived on stage almost three hours late and kept apologising but it didn't go well with the audience and she was booed by them.
The crowd could be heard saying 'Go Back'. The clip that has now gone viral, Neha can be seen apologising to her fans.
Fighting back tears, she said, “Guys, you are really sweet! You have been patient. Itni der se aap log wait kar rahe ho. I hate it, maine life mein kabhi kisi ko wait nahi karwaya hai. Aap itni der se wait kar rahe ho, I’m so sorry! It means a lot to me. I will remember this evening forever. Aaj aap log mere liye itna kimti time nikaal kar aaye ho. I will make sure that I will make you all dance."
In the video one can hear many people in the audience angrily shouting, “Go back! Rest in your hotel." One man was heard saying, “This is not India, you’re in Australia."
Another added, “We have been waiting for three hours." A third voice mocked her by saying, “Very good acting! This is not Indian Idol. You’re not performing with kids."
Neha had performed in Sydney and shared glimpses of the event on her Instagram. She wrote, “Thank you #Sydney Tonight #Melbourne #NehaKakkarLive."
Despite the backlash, Neha’s loyal fans came to her defence on social media. One fan commented on her Instagram post, “Your voice, your energy, your presence, everything is just next level! You are the best ma’am." Another added, “The sweetest human ever ️️ It was an absolute privilege and dream to perform with you."
