Bollywood actors Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor, who were together for a long time and were often seen together at parties and in public, have parted ways mutually, a source told Pinkvilla.
The couple, that stood all odds and braved many trolls due to the age difference between them, have ended their relationship.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, a few sources close to the actors said that 'their relationship had run its course.'
“Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each others hearts. They have chosen to part ways and will maintain a dignified silence in this matter. They won’t allow anyone to drag and dissect their relationship," said the source.
But the source further stressed that there is no 'bad blood' between the two and they remain friends.
"They had a long, loving, fruitful relationship that has unfortunately run its course now. That doesn’t mean there is any bad blood between them. They respect each other hugely and have been a pillar of strength for each other. Over the years, they have given their relationship a lot of respect. They will continue to give each other the same respect despite them deciding to part ways. Both of them were in a serious relationship for years, and they expect people to be gracious enough to give them space at this emotional time.”
Arjun and Malaika were first spotted together in 2018 when they were seen at a joint appearance at a fashion show event. And it was on Malaika's 45th birthday that the two made their relationship official.
Malaika was always spotted at the Kapoor house Diwali parties with Arjun. She and Arjun also went on holidays with friends Kareena Kapoor and her husband Saif Ali Khan. The two also had a lovely Parisian holiday once.
Arjun Kapoor also spoke at length about taking his relationship to the next level on 'Koffee With Karan'. Malaika was 12 years elder to Arjun and the two were often trolled for it.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor will next be seen in a negative role in Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again' and later in 'No Entry 2' he is doing a comic role.
Malaika is currently enjoying a solo break in a foreign land.
