90s heartthrob Keanu Reeves and the beautiful Sandra Bullock have expressed desires to work with each other again. The duo were undoubtedly the best on-screen pair in their primes. It is a shame that we only got two films (‘Speed’ and ‘The Lakehouse’) with the stars together.
The duo were recently on the 50MPH Podcast together and they indicated how badly they want to share a screen again. They also hinted at the possibility of the two reuniting for the third instalment of the super hit film ‘Speed’.
"Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera,” Bullock said. "Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Are we on little scooters at Disneyland?”
"It does feel like there is a siren call to it, like there's something that wasn't done. I would love to work with you again before our eyes close.” Reeves added.
Although, Reeves had previously denied to star alongside Bullock in ‘Speed 2: Cruise Control’, it feels like he would be up for returning to the franchise. He just really wants to work with Bullock again and we couldn’t be happier.
"I mean, you know – we'd freakin' knock it out of the park," Reeves said on the possibility of the return of ’Speed’.
The 1994 film, ‘Speed’, followed a Los Angeles police officer, Jack (Keanu Reeves), who foils a disgruntled man’s plan to bomb an elevator. Furious, the man plants a bomb in a local bus and threatens to set it off unless his demands are met.
‘Speed’ is a rollercoaster ride that people are still dizzy from 3 decades after its release. The movie grossed $350 million worldwide at theatres. It has managed to remain as fresh and thrilling as ever and is still regarded as one of the greatest action movies of all time.
