Warner Bros. just released the trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to the classic dark comedy ‘Beetlejuice’. Michael Keaton’s return as the foul mouthed monster is joined by the return of Winona Ryder’s sweet Lydia Deetz, and Catherine O’Hara’s Delia Deetz.
Except this time, we also get to see Lydia’s daughter, Astrid Deetz, played by ‘Wednesday’ star Jenna Ortega.
Ortega is not the only new addition to this awesomely sinister story. Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci and Justin Theroux are the new cast members for ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’.
The trailer shows the Deetz family move back into their infamous Winter River home after a sudden death in the family. Lydia’s rebellious daughter, Astrid, discovers a secret portal to the afterlife in the basement, she starts to say the name of the shapeshifting ghoul three times.
“Beetlejuice..Beetlejuice..Beetlejuice”
The mischievous spirit suddenly reappears and delivers the iconic line, “The Juice is loose!”
He also says to Lydia, “I’m going to make you so happy.”
“Be warned, it’s intense,” Lydia says at the beginning of the trailer.

Tim Burton has returned to produce and direct the sequel of his 1988 horror comedy ‘Beetlejuice’ from a script by ‘Wednesday’ screenwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.
The official description for the film reads - “Three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River after an unexpected family tragedy. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life soon gets turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter discovers a mysterious portal to the afterlife. When someone says Beetlejuice's name three times, the mischievous demon gleefully returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.”
Hoping for a third instalment titled ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’.
The entry of Jenna Ortega to the ‘Beetlejuice’ franchise was met with a lot of excitement. Ortega is solidifying herself as a true scream queen. The ’YOU’ actress was previously seen in a chilling Netflix drama titled ‘Wednesday’ based on the ‘Addams Family’., she also starred in Ti West’s slasher ‘X’, and played a memorable role for the 5th and 6th parts of the ‘Scream’ franchise.
‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ hits theatres on 6 September.
