Hollywood icon Meryl Streep is all set to return to the highly anticipated sequel of cult-classic, The Devil Wears Prada. After Anne Hathaway started shooting on July 21 in New York City, Meryl Streep also kicked off the production.
Meryl Streep is seen on the set of Devil Wears Prada 2 on July 23, in New York City. Several photos from the set are now going viral on social media.
In the pic, Meryl Streep made a style statement in a purple blouse tucked into a belted brown leather skirt. She completed her outfit with a long tan trench coat. She elevated her look with matching brown heels and sunglasses. She also sported her character, Miranda Priestly's, signature icy white long pixie cut.
However, instead of Miranda’s iconic bag, Meryl Streep is seen carrying a sparkly water bottle.
Previously, Anne Hathaway gave a glimpse into her character on social media. She shared a picture while still being in her character and simply penned in the caption, “Andy Sachs 2025 #dwp2.”
Emily Blunt is yet to start the production.

The upcoming highly anticipated sequel will revolve around Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. Miranda clashes with Blunt's character, a former assistant turned powerful executive of a luxury brand that Priestley needs for advertising.
However, it's currently unclear how Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, will fit into the story since she left Runway at the end of the first film to work at a newspaper.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 1, 2026.
